My girls always attended East Elementary (the best), we had to move across town which their school district was then Northwest Elementary for 2010-2011 school year. The hated going to school there. Never in their life had they experienced bullying until that year they attended Northwest Elementary. The office staff was unbearable if you was not the right color, which was anybody other than Hispanics. My girls was riding the bus every day to get there early for breakfast, but that soon stopped when I found out that they were serving them peanut butter sandwiches and pizza hot pockets for breakfast. I was appalled to find out that they were giving them junk food for breakfast. The only thing that my children did like was their teachers and the counselor. At least I can say that her teacher took care of the bully issue and brought in the counselor to handle it. My children were in 3rd & 1st grade and had to deal with bully's that soon, that's ridiculous they shouldn't be worrying about bully's at that age, they should be having fun and enjoying life. This school had to go on lockdown because there was a gun shot in the area, not the best neighborhood. So if your looking to relocate here don't find anything on that side of town, no house is worth my children suffering every day coming home from school crying and begging me to not make them go to school. That's why we moved to get them back into East Elementary.
